The section between Százhalombatta - Ercsi is a part of the Budapest - Pécs railway line. The (mostly) greenfield project’s mission is to upgrade the speed of passenger trains up to 160 km/ h, and increase the capacity with separating the freight&local train and passenger train traffic using the new track.
