The establishment of a ring road along the circular rail route of Budapest has a long history of research and preparation. The new route explores large brownfield areas, creates urban substations and supports the development of multi-level rail crossings.
In addition to providing an indispensable circular connection on a macro level, the designed infrastructure also has a great potential for urban regeneration on the micro scale. Its construction will result in the moderation of traffic on the downtown bridges, which will indirectly improve viability in the central areas.
